  1. We just moved to N.B. late last Fall and we only had the opportunity to receive 2 food bundles with artisan bread. We enjoyed both and the contents wholly sufficed for our family of six. Back in Ontario, I ran a 14 family raw milk cooperative and had my own bio-dynamic farm where local families came to grow their own food on plots of our land. It was a joyous time with our ducks, chickens, sheep, horses, and Eeyore the Donkey. Now it is time to wholly shift my focus to my wholistic medical and spiritual psychotherapeutic Practice while also mentoring my home-schooled teenagers. I will leave the early mornings in my Muck boots to those of you with stronger backs and a similar love for mother earth and all she proffers out of resonance. I may end up with just 4 raised beds in all overlooking the majestic Kennebecasis. Have a stellar season!

Do you know of anyone who does this in Halifax / Bedford area? Great idea!

I received the produce pack last season and it was one the best experiences I have had with fresh, local fruits and vegetables. I am dissapointed to find out that for the 2011 season there will not be smaller packs offered. We are a 2 person household and we had some trouble using all of the produc within a week. We had really hoped that a smaller pack for smaller households would be an option this year. We tried to sharing the pack with another household, but that was rather difficult…how would be split the bread, the eggs, the squash, the bokchoy, the kale etc since the pack mostly contained one of each item?

I loved it! The only problem I had is there is me and one other person splitting a box; and the boxes are sort of too big for us; and we are in different households; so it is hard to, say, split a squash, or a head of lettuce, etc. So if you can come up with something a bit friendlier for 1 person households; that would be awesome!

    • We are offering a $40 dollar pack this year in addition to our regular $50 pack. I think this would be a better option for you Wanda. Pleas email us to discuss this more. (davesproducepacks@gmail.com)

If I go with a $40 pack on a trial basis, could I switch to a $50 pack after a couple weeks if we felt like we could handle the larger load?
